To use the oil massage it gently on your skin in circular motions. Wait for a few minutes. You must allow the oil to be absorbed in your skin completely. Now if you have applied the oil on your face then wash the skin with warm water after a few minutes.

It is better to use lemon essential oil in the evening when you won’t be going out in the sun. The oil can make your skin sensitive to the sun. Also avoid using lemon oil on sensitive skin.

Now like any topical product lemon essential oil will have its own side effects on some people. As mentioned above lemon essential oil makes the skin more sensitive to the sun. This will increase the risk of sunburn or sun damage.
